Why do I have to apply? Can't I just register?

The eVOLUTION retreat is a powerful process and, as such, it is important that those who attend come to us with a willingness to be open to the experience. This will be an intimate retreat with a select group of people, so we would like to know your intentions, your motivations and a bit more about what makes you YOU. 
 
We wish to build a tribe of motivated truth-seekers, visionary leaders, consciousness explorers, creative creators and people who believe that, in healing and transforming themselves, they can help transform the world.

How much does the retreat cost?

Accepted Answer

This depends on the room and sleeping option you choose. Because this is a Villa, and not a retreat center, there are limited bedrooms available.

Question 4

I've never taken a plant medicine before. Is this retreat for me?

At Ecstasis, one of our main goals is to create a safe and comfortable container so that you can fully let go into the experience. Our workshops will give you the tools to navigate the plant medicine part of the retreat with grace and ease. It is perfect for the experienced practitioner, or for complete beginners.
 
That being said, taking any medicine has risks associated with it. There are certain contraindications for the use of plant medicines. Therefore, we ask that you fill out Health Screening part of the Application as openly and honestly as possible. If any flags come up, we will notify you and schedule a talk.

Why do I have to fill out a health questionnaire?

Your health, safety and comfort are our top concern. While plant medicines are generally very safe, having been used for centuries, there are some contraindications for plant medicine use. Therefore, it is very important that you are completely honest and forthcoming on your application. If we have questions about a particular answer, we'll get in touch to discuss with you.

What is your COVID-19 policy and hygiene protocols?

We all need to do our part to stop the transmission of the COVID virus. While Mexico, at the current moment, does not have any specific entry, testing or quarantine requirements, we at Ecstasis want to create a safe atmosphere so everyone can feel free to let go. Therefore, we have created the following protocols:
 
- You must have proof of a negative PCR COVID-19 test 72 hours prior to arrival
- Additionally, we will administer a COVID Rapid Test upon your arrival at the Villa
- Masks will be required upon arrival, until you receive a negative Rapid Test
- Any staff who we will come in contact with (like the chef) will be required to be rapid tested
- There will be hand disinfectant around the property
 
Because the Villa is very secluded and we won't be coming in contact with others, we feel these testing procedures will allow us to conduct the retreat with a sense of safety and security.
 
Should you test positive for COVID upon arrival, you will need to leave the property and get another PCR test for confirmation at a local testing center. Should this come back negative, you can rejoin the retreat. If it is positive, you will need to quarantine at your own expense. You will receive a credit for a future retreat.

Tell me more about the Villa

Villa Isla Blanca is a beautiful 6 bedroom property with its own private sandy beach and easy access to the ocean for dipping your feet in, walking along the shore, or taking one of the Kayaks out. They are located about 30 min from the center of Cancun
 
The house is run on an eco-friendly system of solar panels (back-up generator available in case of cloudy weather) and on-site well water. The fresh ocean breeze keeps everything cool and comfortable, and we provide bottled drinking water for guests.
Most of the rooms have an ocean and beachfront view, and the lagoon and jungle views are not to be missed from the terraces.
 
There is WIFI throughout the house to keep you connected during your stay. We do ask that it not be used for large file downloads as it slows the network for all other guests.
The on-site concierge staff will make you feel comfortable and well attended to during your stay with us.
 
Imagine sunrises facing the sea, star-lit sky at night; feel and hear the sea breeze and watch the sunset over the jungle.

Tell me more about the location

With little to no touristic development, Isla Blanca is referred to as Cancun´s ¨hidden beach.¨ It holds the last piece of natural beauty that the area of Cancun has to offer. From the island´s famous sunrises to the clear night skies filled with hundreds of visible stars, Isla Blanca is an entirely different experience than that of it´s restless neighbor, Cancun. It is one of the last preserved areas in the Yucatan.

Isla blanca, contrary to its name, is a peninsula located 20 kilometers north of Cancun´s hotel zone. It is an isolated strip of land that separates the Caribbean sea and the lagoon. The Caribbean sea side of Isla Blanca is an unmatched, incredible strip of land composed of white, sandy beaches and transparent, blue waters. The lagoon side is a long, flat, sandy stretch mixed with mangrove.
The very shallow water of the lagoon combined with the white sand gives an impressive, white color to the water. At certain points of the day, the strip of land is narrow enough to observe both the blue, Caribbean sea and the white, shallow water of the lagoon. It gives viewers the incredible illusion that they are walking on water. Owed to it´s unparalled beauty, Isla Blanca attracts many locals and sports enthusiasts.

What are the payment terms?

Once you have applied and have been accepted for the retreat, payment is due immediately in order to secure your spot. A payment link will be provided.

Question 10

What is your cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

We understand things are very uncertain at the moment, especially given the pandemic situation.
 
If either your country of origin, or Mexico changes it's border entry requirments (closes their borders) and you cannot travel, you will receive a full refund, or a credit towards a future retreat.
 
If you contract COVID and cannot travel, you will receive a full refund with proof of COVID diagnosis (doctor's attestation)
 
Bookings cancelled for any other reason up to 2 weeks prior to retreat start will receive 50% refund. No refunds issued with less than 2 weeks notice.

Question 11

Can I book and stay longer at the Villa?

Unfortunately, the Villa is booked just after our retreat so an extended stay is not possible.

Question 12

How many people will be on the retreat?

Accepted Answer

We wanted to keep this retreat purposefully small in order to foster an intimate atmosphere. Therefore, we are only accepting 8-10 guests for this exclusive experience.

Question 13

Do I have to share a room?

Accepted Answer

Because of the very limited space, we are discouraging booking a single room. However, if you absolutely require this, then there is a price for a single room. You will find room prices here.

Question 14

I suffer from depression and have heard a lot about psilocybin for this. Is this retreat for me?

Accepted Answer

While there have numerous breakthrough research results in the treatment of diseases like depression, anxiety, OCD and addictions with the use of plant medicines, it is impossible to answer this question without a consultation with you first.
 
Although plant medicines have shown signifiicant improvements in people with certain illnesses, it is important to keep in mind that we do not offer therapy at Ecstasis. Having the proper integration and follow up with your local psychologist or therapist could be especially helpful for you to navigate your experience in relation to your particular circumstance.
 
We review all applications on a case-by-case basis and, should you suffer from one or more of these illnesses, we will contact you to discuss your personal situation.

Question 15

Can I expect to receive therapy at Ecstasis retreats?

No. While the facilitators are trained in various therapeutic and coaching techniques, we are not licensed therapists and, therefore, only offer workshops and sessions for wellness and body/mind optimisation.

Question 16

Will I have free time during the retreat?

Accepted Answer

YES!! Although we will pack a lot into our 5 days together, having space to play, relax and integrate is just as important. You will have 3-4 hours per day to get some sun on the secluded beach, take a dip in the infinity pool, read a book in one of the many cabanas, do your fitness program on the rooftop deck, or just hang out and chat with your fellow retreat tribe members.

How do I get to the retreat?

The best way is to fly into Cancun. Isla Blanca is connected by highway to the mainland, so no ferry is required, and it is easily accessible by taxi/car. The property is an approximately 50min drive from Cancun International Airport.
